Kids in line

All students and parents have access to a fully equipped computer lab and library with over 10,000 published titles.  Our parent community is active in their fundraising efforts and in providing activities that encourage positive community involvement.

Parents and community members are encouraged to become involved at school through opportunities to volunteer in classrooms, take part in, ELAC and/or SSC, parent computer classes, family nights, school events  and various student recognition assemblies.

TK Students Learn About Shapes

From an early age, kids notice different shapes even if they don't yet know that the shapes have names. It takes longer for young children to learn the specific properties of each shape, such as the number of sides or how the shape looks. Valleydale TK and ETK students get lots of practice with shapes to help them solidify their understanding. That knowledge of shapes gives our Vikings an advantage in many areas of learning!

Establishing A College Gowing Future

We are working hard towards getting all our students to think about going to college early! Our first step was to hang college and university flags in our cafeteria to get the conversations going. We believe that every student at Valleydale is college bound!

Our School

Valleydale provides a high-quality educational program to more than 400 students in grades Preschool through 5, including services for students with visual impairment, a Dual Immersion Program, and an after-school program called Think Together located on campus. Our students are our focus, and we work diligently to provide them with a positive school experience.

Our teachers have undergone many hours of professional development to bring research-based teaching strategies into every classroom.  Teachers collaborate weekly in our Professional Learning Communities model, which focuses on effective instructional strategies including the best use of student data. That's what our teachers do each Thursday when students get out of school early.

Valleydale’s students learn through active engagement, cooperative learning strategies, critical thinking and problem solving.  Character education is emphasized through our monthly focus on positive character traits.

Valleydale is an awesome school community!  Welcome!
